INDOOR  TANNING  VS  TANNING  OUTDOORS ??

Tanning indoors offers you much more control. You always know exactly what kind of ultraviolet light you are getting and exactly how long you’ll be getting it. The certified staff of Soleil will monitor your progress and advise you on how to properly maintain your tan, reducing your risk of ever contracting a  dangerous sunburn. Tanning outdoors is a guessing game due to changes in seasonality, location, geography, weather conditions, altitude and the ozone layer!!

HOW   OFTEN   SHOULD   I   TAN??

Tanning everyday is NOT recommended. You should only expose yourself to ultraviolet light once every 48 hours to limit your chances of overexposure. Your skin needs time to recuperate and rejuvenate itself between tanning sessions. Tanning a few times a week, spacing each session out properly, will establish your tan more quickly, and is much healthier for your skin!!

SHOULD   I   USE   A   TANNING   LOTION??

Absolutely, every single time you tan-if you want to make the most of your session! Everyone tans better with a lotion, because moisturized skin is more translucent, which helps the UV light penetrate the skin. Dry skin is dull and doesn’t absorb UV light as efficiently. Ingredients in indoor tanning lotions such as L-tyrosine and other powerful amino acids stimulate melanin production, which helps you achieve a tan and enhance your current color. They also replenish moisture that’s lost while tanning.

DO   I   HAVE   TO  WEAR   EYE   PROTECTION??

Absolutely, every single time you tan!! We offer multiple types of eyewear to allow you to select the ones you are most comfortable with. Not wearing FDA approved eyewear can cause both short-term and permanent damage to the cornea and retina. It is not good enough to just close your eyes or throw a cotton towel over your face. These methods block less than 25% of ultraviolet light rays.
